Lastpass: A secure solution for sharing sensitive information with your virtual assistant

As a property virtual assistant, one of the most important things I do is help my clients stay organized and on top of their various accounts and login information related to their properties. This can include things like property management software, social media accounts, and other online tools that are necessary for managing their properties.

To make this task as easy and secure as possible, my clients use a password management tool called LastPass. One of the best features of LastPass is its Virtual Key function, which allows them to share login information with me without actually sharing the password.

So how does it work?

When a client needs to share login information with me, they simply log in to their LastPass account, select the password or login information that they want to share, and then click on the “Share” button. Instead of sharing the actual password, they select “Virtual Key” in the “Access” section.

Next, the client can customise the settings for the Virtual Key, such as the expiration date, the maximum number of uses, and the number of minutes the key will remain active. This way, they can ensure that I only have access to the login information for a limited amount of time, and that the password will automatically change when the time is up.

Once the settings are set, the client shares the Virtual Key with me via a secure method such as phone call or encrypted messaging. I can then use the Virtual Key to log in to the shared account, but I will not be able to see the actual password.

Overall, I find the LastPass Virtual Key function to be a really valuable tool for my work as a property virtual assistant. It allows my clients to easily share login information with me while maintaining the security of the password. Plus, it’s easy to use and customise to fit the specific needs of my clients.

If you’re a property owner or manager, and you need to share login information with your virtual assistant, I highly recommend giving LastPass and its Virtual Key function a try. It will provide you with peace of mind knowing that your login information is secure and easy to access only by authorised personnel
